Weekly Alternative News round-up
As many of you already know, The MotoRaceReports Team loves Twitter!
As I was sitting here feeling sorry for myself during the off-season, I decided to start a “Weekly Alternative News” article until racing resumes.
Every week, I will be reporting big news or funny news that have popped up on Twitter (all Bike related, of course!).
Many riders, teams, sponsors, journalists and fans have things to say and I think it’s worth a little collection once a week.
Here we go!
Via @fiatontheweb and @Tizianadgi

@Tizianadgi published a great photo of Jorge Lorenzo doing a burn-out in front of 800 people in Thailand
@TeamAspar confirmed Aprilia’s withdrawal from the Moto2 class – Article
The news was followed by a comment from British 125cc rider @BradleySmith38 :”mmmm, not sure what to make of aprilia pulling out of Moto2. Its a big blow, but i think it will make the racing a little closer and cheaper”.
Bradley’s website
Rider @chazdavies has been showing his moustache for Movember. Photo
Movember is a moustache growing charity event held during November each year that raises funds and awareness for men’s health. LINK
@motogpmatters wrote a very interesting article in defense of Toni Elias. Recommended read of the week.
@mcn published an interview with current BSB champion Leon Camier about his 2010 Aprilia WSB ride. Article
In the UK, the NEC Bike Show got on the way and every rider on Twitter has been talking about having fun riding mini motos!
7 times world motorcycle racing champion @carlfogarty was also there to launch his new Foggy kiddimoto.
Lastly, I would like to talk about Hellcat Customs.
These guys have been building one of a kind custom motorcycles for many years and were sadly victims of a fire that destroyed everything.
The biking community on Twitter has pulled together to help Hellcat Customs rise from the ashes.
